Delosperma seedlings update

I have to admit I've gravely underestimated these plants... I thought they'd grow slower and stay more or less small at least for a while. But they are obviousy not that kind of mesembs. It's been less than 3 weeks since they were just little bunnies.
Don't know if it's visible on the pic - the leaves are sparkling in the sun as if they were made out of thousands of tiny diamonds.

  1. Yip, quick growers and to flower. You can think of hanging baskets if you do not want them in the garden.

    1. How soon can I expect the flowers? :D
No garden here, only the windowsill... Will need to figure something out soon.

    2. Oh they can flower from 9months. Maybe even sooner, depending on time and growth. But easy to maintain and keep in check and easy to propagate, through cuttings.

    3. Oh that's early! Looking forward to the flowers, next summer for sure then :)
It's not urgent yet but once it is I'm thinking of some kind of framework to keep it inside the pot borders. Not very natural, I guess, but there's no room to grow except upwards.

  2. So satisfying when something grows quickly. Quite a contrast with you other plants!

I can already picture the epic battle for the windowsil domination with the Crassula!
