Some more flowers (3 pics)

So it looks like this fall has brought more flowers than expected. Quite some Lithops and Conophytums have been flowering and I can see three more buds growing. I guess, this flowering season was not worse than usual after all even though the weather was not suggesting that.

Aren't these Lithops dorotheae flowers just the perfect little suns? Glad I could catch them in the evening this weekend.

A big surprise is this Faucaria tuberculosa bud. Really, this plants has been nibbled on by mites and overall neglected and it has never flowered for me before - but here it is, a flower bud. Thank you, little planty.

Faucaria and Adromischus today (2 pics)

Now to today's pics - all dark and gloomy and gray. That's what the plants have to put up with these days.

This Faucaria I got as a present almost 2 years ago definitely received wrong care last winter (even though I'm still not sure what the right care would be). Probably too much water while having it too dark (as usual): new leaves grew very slowly, badly shaped with almost no teeth; old leaves dried up quickly leaving ugly stems. In the spring I've cut off a couple of "heads" and rooted them hoping for a new start. The plant took it slow and didn't like the summer heat at all. But as it got cooler it suddenly started to grow new and very meaty leaves with nicely long teeth! Now I just need to figure out how to keep it this way. *headscratch

Beside it you can see two leaves of an Adromischus greenie I stuck into the soil to get new plants (gotta love this way of propagation). I've recently bought one - these plants look really interesting, how could I say no? - but two leaves fell off during re-potting, they are quite fragile. They already have roots but no new growth yet.
The "original" plant has to share its pot with a Gobbaeum and a Neohenricia cutting (I have those cutting growing everywhere I could find a free square centimeter XD).

Faucaria flower

The new Faucaria tigrina flower looks kinda messy but here it is. :D

flowering season update 4

My Faucaria tigrina has grown several new leaves since I got it and the (second) flower bud has developed to the point of opening any day now. I couldn't take a proper picture of the first one so I'll try it this time. ;)

Also, I just couldn't resist to snap a couple more shots of the greenhorn flower. The older it is the more amazing it gets. It was really sparkling and glowing in the evening sun yesterday and even as it set the glow was still on the petals. I think no photo can capture it.

Are there any poems about mesemb flowers? There should be. :)

Faucaria tigrina

As promised here are the pics of my new Faucaria tigrina ♥. Pretty spots, scary teeth and flowers coming up! :)
In other news: Greenhorn's flower is growing a bit too slowly; new flower bud has become visible on another Sulphurea (so untimely); all in all the plants are suffering (or not?) from the heat getting very wrinkly at the end of every day.
