Fulvi flower

Yesterday evening the Aurea flower has finally opened. :)

    1. Today is the second day of flowering and it opens all the way, the petals even point down!
      Thanks! It's difficult to take good photos in the evening. :)

  2. Beautiful - one of those oval-flat seed capsules. Do I detect a little green in the flower as well?

    1. Maybe they are the green outer petals shining through :)
      I'm a bit worried because it's flowering out of time. And if my instincts in estimating such things are right, I think, other fulviceps 'Aurea' are going to bloom, too. Is it really that out of time for fulvis or are they normally early birds? Seeing early flowers is exciting but I've had bad experiences with lithops doing things untimely..

    2. I think from mid-summer onwards? The white flowering species is later, but I am thinking this variant would be under yellow flowering group??? Do not quote me on that! LOL!
