variegated hallii

A couple of days ago I've discovered that one of the hallii has regenerated into a variegated specimen. I've read about this phenomenon and in lithops it is something that stays for a year and goes away with the next leaf change (even though there are exceptions). It looks interesting.
Speaking of hallii, there is a new tenant on the windowsill. As if I could visit a nursery without buying at least one lithops, and such a nice one. :)

  1. How beautiful! I hope the variation persists for more than one generation.

    1. It's unusual, isn't it? Sometimes it persists but I'm just happy the plants get through the winter well. It's ok if it vanishes :)

--> http://oregoncactus.blogspot.de/2011/06/lithops.html

  4. Rika, variegated specimen looks amazing! But have I understood right that only one head of that 2-headed plant was unusual?

    1. It does, doesn't it? :)
Yes, only one head is like this. It's previous incarnation wasn't variegated at all so I don't expect this to last.
