Conophytum pellucidum flowers (2 pics)

I've got to get more C. pellucidum plants. The flowers are stunning! See-through leaves and huge white flowers ♥

  1. Very pretty. Like wondrous white trumpets proclaiming their arrival. Such great flowers from such tiny plants. Unfortunately, I can't like them too much. At present I have no space for conophytums, especially in the winter. So, thanks to you I will enjoy them from afar, and I do enjoy watching them go through their life cycle and produce their lovely flowers. Your new apartment seems to suit them well. Thanks for sharing your Conophytum pellucidum 'pardicolor' with us.

    1. But they are so small! The lithops beside it is 1,5 cm for comparison and I have two multi-headed plants growing in a pot that is only 5x5 cm. Surely you might have room for a very small collection ;) I now have 20 plants living in 13 5x5 cm pots. Maybe you will reconsider?

    2. Oh you are such a conophytum seductress! Tempting me with your flawless reasoning and alluring photographs. We'll see, we'll see. They really are beautiful plants. :)

    3. I do what I do ;)

I don't find that it is necessary to have many of them as most of them look the same without flowers. However, to have and be able to grow a small healthy group of very different conos would be really nice. That's my goal.

  2. Terry Smale has more than 30 pellucidums so a lot to get.

    1. I'll settle for 3 to 5 ;) I have two kinds growing here already, in need of partners. So I'll probably get them a partner each and then a couple of other pellucidums and that's it :D I really like those white flowers!
