first lithops flower 2012

I was kinda expecting this from my early bird gesinae again but this year's surprise belongs to one of the fulviceps 'Aurea'! It's very early and there are no signs of flowers on other eight plants (which will hopefully flower synchronously sometime later) but it sure is exciting. This will be my first greenie white flower, too. :)
This flower will be an exception. I'm looking forward to seeing more of them in September and October.
Also, after a while in the corner of the windowsill all the fulvis have now much stronger color and clearer pattern.

  1. Rika, how old is the plant that is going to bloom?

My pseudotruncatella ssp. volkii C069 is blooming for a couple of days now and opens the blooming season for 3 years regularly.

    1. Hi Eugene :)
I don't know how old they are. Got them as adults (judging by size) in Mai 2011, no flowers last year.

Congratulations! Nice to know that some lithops can cheer us up during the boring (lithops-wise) summer months :)

    1. I guess it'll take a little longer, it's dark and it's raining a lot this week. Although it didn't bother this plant til now :)
