Sulphurea's flower

This one has developed so fast that the opening of the flower was a surprise. :) Currently the plant is sharing its pot with three L. localis. Snapped the picture late in the evening a couple of days ago.

  1. Wonderful sheen to the petals. Lithops flowers are delicate, yet bold, and always welcomed, whether they're expected or a surprise. My big, old Sulphurea is beginning to flower but the numerous heads never all flower together. I think you learn that the one thing to expect out of your lithops, is to be surprised. Is that good or bad? Maybe a little of both. You have nice plants for a part-time succulent grower. :)

    1. Thanks :)
My plants don't flower that much so I'm considering it a surprise and a miracle every time. Congratulations on your Sulphurea! It will be a great sight on such an old plant.
