bromfieldii flower

    1. Congratulations! It's gonna be a special event! ★ If not pollinated the flower will last over a week. Plenty of time to take pictures ^^

      Most of the lithops flowers get really big from the 3rd day on. I always try to wait until then to take a picture :)

  3. It did brighten up my mood. Thanks! I went outside to check my plants and I have several L. bromfieldii plants flowering also. I used my little paint brush and did my imitation of a busy bee. We will see if any fruit (seed pods) develop. Lithops flowers - just like warm sunshine. :D Thanks for sharing your bit of sunshine.

    1. They surely will! You will be very busy during the harvest ;)
      My lithops that have flowered so far this season didn't even have proper partners but are now growing seed pods. Selfing happens with lithops too (probably induced by some stray pollen with which there can't be any crossing) but even though some of the seeds look viable I didn't have proper resources (room) to sow and see.
