This is the way Lithops demonstrate their appreciation and affection. You are being rewarded, and rightly so, for rescuing three little plants and giving them the chance of an exciting new life. You are their hero. And, mine too, because you are so kind to Lithops in trouble.
Of course, the flowering could also have resulted from the fact that the plant was already mature and the extra light you provided generated enough food to produce a flower.
But I think it was a colorful thank you from a grateful plant. :)
I really hope they like how I'm treating them or at least understand my intentions. After all they haven't had water for a long time now and have to use their own resources. It has been hot and sunny, too. If they survive next year they'll have a much easier life though :)
