There's still a possibility that I've missed it but I don't think so. The flower opened a little in the evening as it was already getting dark so maybe it's not the season. Or it didn't have the strength. But it tried and certainly deserves some credit for that. :)
Awww, such a beautiful display. What a great looking plant!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)

I see. I love this plant! :)
DeleteMe too :)
DeleteHave to figure out how to deal with it in winter..
Your Avonia looks beautiful! No worries. The bloom may have been slightly confused, because I've heard from my Bayern friends that the weather has been unusually dreary there lately. Which is too bad, because October was always my favorite month in Bayern! Is it dark, cold weather where you are?
ReplyDeleteYes I think so, too. It actually already had its flowering time and should focus on growing. I like these plants :) They seem to be quite grateful and unproblematic. This one and especially the other one I have (quinaria ssp. quinaria) have grown so many new branches these months, it warms my heart. :)
DeleteYeah.. I think the "golden" mild October is over now. We've had some gloomy rainy days lately. It is often clear and even sunny early in the morning but by 9:oo it rains again. It also gets dark early in the evening so that the lithops flowers don't want to open :)
