There's still not much going on with Lithops, only one flower is visible. But at least some other succulents are flowering. My Haworthia limifolia has grown another flower stalk and there's a seed capsule even though there's no partner plant around. The Neohenricia sibbetii is flowering since almost three months non-stop! I've counted around 40 flowers so far. Still I think it weakens the plant itself a bit.
By the way, the scent isn't pleasant at all :D
Cool, what a prolific bloomer! Does it smell bad, can you describe it? lol. How did that H. limifolia produce a seed capsule, weird, huh? Best.
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed. I didn't know it would bloom for so long. Haha, it smells like rotten meat probably to attract flies at night. Good thing the flowers are so small. :) Back when it only was one flower I actually thought it smells nice but it really doesn't XD
DeleteNo idea about the Haworthia. Maybe the seeds aren't viable?
It is so lovely too. I just wonder why most flowers of the succulents look the same, just different sizes and colors even if they are of different genus and species.
ReplyDeleteSucculent flowers have this silky quality to them we, succulent fans, like so much :)
