Nightly flowers

Well, it's 11PM and here I am trying to catch the Neohenricia flowers. They just won't open fully BUT the scent is really strong (and nice!) even though there are only three tiny flowers (and more coming up). Any idea how to make them open all the way?
The flowers look pinkish-yellow but are probably near white when opened.
UPD: Patience is the key. It's 23:25 and the flowers are almost there.

  1. Great close-up photos Rika. Looking forward to seeing masses of these flowers. Great to know that they're scented too. Looking forward to seeing updates. :-)

    1. Thanks :)
After that they've opened some more but I couldn't wait any longer.

  2. How would you describe the scent of the flowers, Rika? I have a scent library and make perfumes as a hobby, that's why I'm interested. Most mesembs flowers don't smell like much. I'm intrigued by these!

    1. I'm afraid I'm very bad at describing fragrances... It was very sweet and field flowers like, I thought. I might be able to tell more next time I get the chance to. Can't stay up long tonight :)
