A...I think it's often the case with lithops...

Actually other Avonias (not the quinaria) sometimes don't even bother opening their flowers and you still get seeds. Or so I read :)Rikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16260657278983088064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-71533151687894503272013-10-07T16:14:24.765+02:002013-10-07T16:14:24.765+02:00I have read that selfing can be induced by other f...I have read that selfing can be induced by other flowers but am not sure this can happen without help.SUCCULENT SUNDAEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03561490964563796192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-87888565477047907882013-10-07T07:07:38.039+02:002013-10-07T07:07:38.039+02:00Thank you :)

Would the branches just come out at the top like monilaria "ears"? No idea. This makes it all the more exciting :)

For now I just hope to keep them alive....Rikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16260657278983088064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-24347443361575477702013-10-06T21:45:04.606+02:002013-10-06T21:45:04.606+02:00The seedlings look great. Obviously, like a lot of mesembs, Avonias don't always read what the experts write. That's what makes growing these weird and beautiful plants interesting and exciting. Yes, there are rules, but the plants don't always obey them. Just like any teenager. :)
I look forward to following the Continuing Avonia Adventures.

Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13557615556014224724noreply@blogger.com
