They are now 2 months old and I let the pumice dry between the waterings. They've grown enough "meat" to take it. I'm still not sure about the wellbeing of "other mesemb" seedlings though. Without much experience it feels like they might die any day. XD Watching them closely helps a lot.
Glad yours are doing so good! :) I'm sure they'll make it through the rainy days.Rikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16260657278983088064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-32819592216838135282013-07-05T08:20:05.969+02:002013-07-05T08:20:05.969+02:00Thank you for stopping by! Absolutely, that's ...Thank you for stopping by! Absolutely, that's why I like them so much and want more of them. :)
Ooh the book is such a dream. It (if nothing else) is a motivation for me to find a job as soon as possible, haha. Steven Hammer's writing style is a great fun, which also makes the information stick.
Rikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16260657278983088064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-63162319176131430782013-07-01T16:18:42.761+02:002013-07-01T16:18:42.761+02:00Very very cute! To me it seems...Aww....how CUUUUTTTEEEEEE!!!!! 8-D
To me it seems Titanopsis is very hungry for light. First I grew the seedlings a little shadier but they developed to "cucumbers". That´s not good at all as these elongated leaves are fairly weak and tend to tumble over. 8-o Now I´ve put them sunnier and that suits them more. Too stupid my pots have got a little too wet when there were thunderstorms with torrential rain about ten days ago. B-( Hopefully they don´t rot....
*heieiei - man muss immer höllisch aufpassen, auch wenn die Pflanzen draußen stehen!*

Greetings

Andy Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-14035707052435866952013-07-01T01:34:38.193+02:002013-07-01T01:34:38.193+02:00Wonderful looking seedling. Your photo is very appropriate because I'm now reading "Mesembs, The Titanopsis Group." Spectacular photos and Steven Hammer's thoroughly informative AND enjoyable writing. I am learning about the publisher, Little Sphaeroid Press, and some very interesting (to me) people behind the scenes. Thanks for sharing your plants, it's appreciated.
