I take plants to work so as not to miss the flowers. A really sunny day lead to the petals turning completely back on the Lithops in the office.SUCCULENT SUNDAEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03561490964563796192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-70372374982452626392014-09-09T06:50:06.961+02:002014-09-09T06:50:06.961+02:00Good luck with your seedlings, too! And the leaf texture is beautiful as well.Rikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16260657278983088064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-85295071177383367542014-09-09T06:47:25.466+02:002014-09-09T06:47:25.466+02:00Thank you Bob! I think the hot summer and the fact that most of the lithops went dormant during the heat should be the reason. Also, following your advise I watered the plants more as soon as I saw flowers growing. As the result none of them has dropped (it was a real problwm before). Thank you for that! <br />I bought 1 year old verruculosa seedlings several years ago but they all died. I hope I'm more skilled now... Hope to grow them from seed soon, too.Rikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16260657278983088064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-32195937704876725012014-09-09T06:39:19.525+02:002014-09-09T06:39:19.525+02:00Thank you for stepping by Art! :)Thank you for stepping by Art! :)Rikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16260657278983088064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-66783955274364433412014-09-09T06:38:35.628+02:002014-09-09T06:38:35.628+02:00Same here! They seem to be a little difficult, but I love the orange color - or even pink in case of "Rose of Texas". Even so I've sowed some charges in late spring this year which germinated quite well.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-24129720301275598532014-09-08T08:12:29.866+02:002014-09-08T08:12:29.866+02:00Hi Rika, The flowers are a just reward for the wo...Hi Rika, The flowers are a just reward for the wonderful care you give to your plants. Lithops flowers are not only something lovely to look at, they are also a good indication that the plant is healthy and growing as it was meant to grow. I've never grown a Lithops verruculosa and the orange/peach flower is quite nice. I'm glad you are having a nice flower display thus far and hope it continues through the sunny autumn in Germany. As always, thanks for sharing them with us. :) Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13557615556014224724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-1071132177471755392014-09-07T23:31:31.739+02:002014-09-07T23:31:31.739+02:00Congratulations! I need to do better next year!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12888328097434089820noreply@blogger.com
