I am surprised ...You're too kind :) Thank you!
I am surprised myself about how well they grow for a non-standard species. I have nearly as many of them now, 3 years later as have germinated. Without any problems whatsoever. They seem to like it here.
It's true about the pseudotrucatella look. I have 2 pots. The one on the photo is steineckeana-looking steineckeana. The other one contains mostly pseudotrucatella-looking selection. They haven't regenerated yet so there's nothing to show. I'll take pictures as soon as they do. It's quite interesting because they have a shape of steineckeana but heavily patterned pseudotrucatella tops :)Rikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16260657278983088064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-10579907903747306522014-01-30T09:21:17.784+01:002014-01-30T09:21:17.784+01:00Yes, there is. There is some room for selection work depending on what you like :)Rikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16260657278983088064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-33291021535043841662014-01-29T23:40:28.767+01:002014-01-29T23:40:28.767+01:00As with Alain, I've never grown steineckeana. ...As with Alain, I've never grown steineckeana. My primary interest has always been in growing the standard species and their varieties. I haven't done much with the hybrids and cultivars, it's always nice to enjoy them through someone else - thank you. I notice that the plant in the upper left of the photo looks very much like L. pseudotruncatella. I guess this is as it should be since that species is supposedly one of the parents. The mystery is the identity of the "other" parent, which many believe isn't a lithops at all.

Rika the seedlings all look great - plump and healthy. You are the windowsill lithops Master! :)Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13557615556014224724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-54198111881349484592014-01-29T22:10:44.738+01:002014-01-29T22:10:44.738+01:00I have never grown steineckeana.
