I heard it's impossible to achieve in culture because they very likely start to rot. That's why I keep this plant and all the seedlings above the soil. I've noticed they get thirsty quickly, too. If it's sunny and hot the seedlings shrink considerably if not watered regularly.<br />I've just ordered some more seeds from kakteen-haage. Too bad MG doesn't have them..Rikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16260657278983088064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-8854497100432131442013-05-19T08:56:33.499+02:002013-05-19T08:56:33.499+02:00So true. It's good to know this plant can change its appearance from bad to good in a short time. Your Frithia is beautiful, btw ;)Rikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16260657278983088064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3791556186150948306.post-65885712166403802242013-05-18T23:23:18.141+02:002013-05-18T23:23:18.141+02:00Your Frithia looks great. Hard to believe in habitat it grows so low in the soil that only the very leaf tips are visible, and then it looks like a lot of small dots in the soil. There's a good photo in the Mesembs Of The World book. I've found mine Frithias did better when I watered them more often and didn't let them get too dry too long during the their growing period. I notice Mesa Gardens is not offering any Frithia seed at present. Wonder why? They are not easy to keep happy, but worth the effort.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12888328097434089820noreply@blogger.com
